Compare Vehicles Side by Side Before You Make an Offer

Learn how TRAPIZO’s Vehicle Watchlist comparison tools help you evaluate specifications, mark advantages and disadvantages, rank your finalists, and share a one-page comparison.

A vehicle can look like the obvious choice when you view it by itself. The decision often becomes less clear when you compare its price, mileage, equipment, condition, and seller details with several alternatives.

TRAPIZO’s Vehicle Watchlist comparison tools bring up to five saved vehicles into one side-by-side view. Instead of switching between browser tabs or rebuilding a spreadsheet, you can evaluate the details that matter to you, mark the strengths and weaknesses of each vehicle, and carry your conclusions into the next step of the buying process.

1. Compare Up to Five Saved Vehicles

Select up to five vehicles from your Watchlist and place their most useful specifications in aligned columns. Price, mileage, model details, powertrain information, colors, dealer, and location remain visible in one consistent table.

2. Evaluate the Details That Matter to You

A specification is not automatically good or bad for every buyer. Mark a cell as an Advantage when it supports your priorities or a Disadvantage when it works against them. Leave anything that does not affect your decision unselected.

3. Turn Your Judgments Into a Simple Score

Each Advantage adds one point and each Disadvantage subtracts one point. Unselected specifications score zero. The total gives you a quick summary of your own evaluation without hiding the individual details behind it.

4. See Your Leading Vehicle Immediately

Colored ribbons rank the selected vehicles from the highest total score to the lowest. The ranking updates as you reconsider specifications, so you can see how one changed priority affects the entire shortlist.

5. Open Any VIN From the Comparison

Every vehicle column includes a QR code linked to its individual VIN page. Scan a code from a printed comparison or select it on screen to return to the listing, review the full details, and continue your research.

6. Carry a One-Page Summary With You

Export the complete comparison as a single landscape PDF. The report includes all selected vehicles, specification designations, scores, ranking ribbons, VINs, QR codes, and the source-listing disclaimer without unnecessary application controls.

1. Save Your Finalists

Use the star control on a vehicle page to add promising listings to your Vehicle Watchlist.

What you'll see: Your Watchlist keeps the VINs you want to revisit in one authenticated buyer workspace.

2. Select Vehicles to Compare

Open the Compare view and choose up to five saved vehicles. TRAPIZO loads the current details for each selected VIN.

What you'll see: A side-by-side table with one specification column and one column for every selected vehicle.

3. Mark Advantages and Disadvantages

Select individual specification cells to cycle between unselected, Advantage, and Disadvantage. Use the designation only when that detail meaningfully affects your decision.

What you'll see: Green advantages, red disadvantages, live total scores, and updated ranking ribbons.

4. Review the Winner, Then Verify

Use the score as a decision aid rather than a substitute for inspection, history, financing, or seller verification. Scan the QR code or use Make an Offer beside the blue-ribbon vehicle when you are ready to continue.

What you'll see: A direct path from your comparison winner to its VIN page and offer builder.

The strongest comparison tool does not tell every buyer that the same vehicle is best. It helps you apply your own priorities consistently.

By combining aligned vehicle data, buyer-controlled advantages and disadvantages, live scores, ranking ribbons, VIN-specific QR codes, and a one-page export, TRAPIZO makes it easier to move from a long list of interesting vehicles to a short list you can explain and act on. The result is a more organized decision—and a clearer starting point when you are ready to make an offer.
